Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain locks for homes, businesses, and vehicles
- Cut keys and duplicate them using key-cutting machines and hand tools
- Respond to emergency lockout situations
- Design and develop master key systems for commercial and industrial properties
- Stay up-to-date with new lock and security technologies and products
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns
- Keep accurate records of service calls, including parts used and time spent on each job
- Operate company vehicle and maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a locksmith or similar role
- Knowledge of different types of locks and security systems
- Ability to use various tools and equipment for lock installation and repair
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physical stamina and ability to work in different environments and weather conditions
- Flexibility to work on-call or outside of regular business hours
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites
