A Loader is responsible for safely moving, loading, and unloading goods in warehouses or distribution centers. Tasks include operating machinery, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of items.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
- Inspecting materials to ensure that they are not damaged or defective
- Counting and verifying the quantity and type of materials that are loaded or unloaded
- Labeling and tagging materials with appropriate information
- Operating and maintaining loading equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Collaborating with other workers to complete tasks efficiently and safely
- Following established safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
- Keeping work areas clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly
- Experience with using pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Attention to detail when loading and unloading goods
- Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines
- Flexibility with working hours and willingness to work weekends and holidays
- Good communication skills to coordinate with other team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets
- Reliability and punctuality in attendance
