Loader Unloaders manage the efficient movement of goods in a warehouse setting. Responsibilities include loading and unloading shipments, verifying inventory accuracy, and maintaining a safe work environment. Expertise in heavy machinery operation is often required.

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload goods from trucks or other vehicles
  • Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
  • Ensure that materials are properly secured or braced to prevent damage or shifting in transit
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks
  • Keep track of inventory and report any discrepancies
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
  • Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with other workers
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in loading and unloading
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and extended hours including weekends
  • Willingness to adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment
