Loader Operators manage heavy machinery to transport and load materials. Responsibilities encompass operating equipment, performing maintenance checks, and ensuring safety protocols. Tasks include loading/unloading goods, site clean-up, and equipment inspections.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, and bulldozers
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as checking oil and fluid levels and greasing moving parts
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, railcars, and other sources, ensuring accurate weights and measurements
  • Move and transport materials within the worksite, adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations
  • Coordinate with other team members and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Inspect equipment for faults, malfunctions, and damage, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Follow strict safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and using safety harnesses and other equipment as required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Previous experience operating heavy machinery, specifically loaders
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
  • Physical ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery for extended periods of time
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime if needed
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
