Loader Operators manage heavy machinery to transport and load materials. Responsibilities encompass operating equipment, performing maintenance checks, and ensuring safety protocols. Tasks include loading/unloading goods, site clean-up, and equipment inspections.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, and bulldozers
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as checking oil and fluid levels and greasing moving parts
- Load and unload materials from trucks, railcars, and other sources, ensuring accurate weights and measurements
- Move and transport materials within the worksite, adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations
- Coordinate with other team members and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Inspect equipment for faults, malfunctions, and damage, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
- Follow strict safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and using safety harnesses and other equipment as required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery, specifically loaders
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
- Physical ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime if needed
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
