Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in the laundering and ironing of linen and uniforms.
- Ensure that all linen and uniforms are processed according to established standards and procedures.
- Inspect linen and uniforms for damage, stains, or wear and determine whether they should be repaired or replaced.
- Ensure that all linen and uniforms are properly sorted, washed, dried, and folded or pressed.
- Maintain accurate records of linen and uniform inventories, orders, and deliveries.
- Train and supervise new employees, ensuring that they understand the proper procedures for handling linen and uniforms.
- Monitor the performance of employees to ensure that all work is completed on time and to the required standards.
- Ensure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and serviced to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in linen and laundry operations required.
- Ability to supervise and manage a team of laundry attendants.
- Knowledge of laundry equipment and chemicals required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills required.
- Ability to maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures required.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts as needed.
- Familiarity with computer software for inventory management and reporting preferred.
