An Imagery Analyst interprets aerial and overhead images to identify, assess, and report on critical features or data. Responsibilities encompass analyzing geospatial data, producing intelligence reports, and advising strategic planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret geospatial data, including satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and geographic information systems (GIS) data, to identify and assess potential threats to national security
  • Produce and disseminate intelligence products, including written reports and graphical representations, that accurately convey findings and recommendations to decision-makers
  • Collaborate with other intelligence analysts, military personnel, and government agencies to gather additional information and ensure a comprehensive understanding of potential threats
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and analytical methods, and integrate them into the analysis process as appropriate
  • Conduct quality control checks on all products to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Participate in briefings and presentations to communicate analysis results to stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, military units, and other intelligence community members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in geography, geospatial intelligence, remote sensing, or a related field
  • Proven experience in analyzing and interpreting satellite imagery and geospatial data
  • Proficient in using analytical tools such as ArcGIS, ENVI, and Google Earth
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify patterns and anomalies in complex data sets
  • Familiarity with intelligence community standards and protocols for imagery analysis
  • Security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and potentially deploy to field locations as needed.
