A first-class power engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in power plants, industrial facilities, and other related industries. They ensure the safe and efficient operation of boilers, turbines, generators, and other machinery. They also oversee the work of other engineers and technicians, maintain records and reports, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. A first-class power engineer should have a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. They should also possess relevant certifications and licenses as required by state or federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain high-pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Monitor and adjust the control systems to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests of equipment to identify and resolve issues
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed
  • Record and maintain accurate logs of equipment operation, maintenance, and repairs
  • Train and supervise junior power engineers and other staff members
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and procedures
  • Participate in emergency response activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a First Class Power Engineer Certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a First Class Power Engineer.
  • Knowledge of power plant operations, systems, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Office and SCADA systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
