Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
  • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a doorman or similar role
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with calmness and tact
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, residents, and staff
  • Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods of time, climb stairs, and lift heavy objects
  • Knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures
  • Attention to detail to ensure safety and security of the building and its occupants
  • Customer service oriented and friendly demeanor
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
