Requirements:

  • Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition principles and ability to apply them to individual patient needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively counsel patients and work with healthcare teams
  • Ability to develop and implement nutrition care plans for patients with a variety of medical conditions
  • Knowledge of food service operations and ability to manage food service staff when necessary
  • Proficiency in medical record documentation and ability to maintain accurate patient records
  • Willingness to stay up-to-date with new research and developments in the field of nutrition and dietetics through continuing education and professional development opportunities
