Die Cast Operators oversee the production process in metalworking industries, managing machinery to cast, mold, or shape metal products. Responsibilities include equipment setup, quality control, and routine maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Operate die casting machines to produce metal parts according to specifications
- Set up and adjust die casting equipment and make necessary repairs
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
- Monitor and maintain production equipment and make adjustments as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on die casting machines and auxiliary equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate production
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production processes
- Adhere to all safety and quality regulations and procedures
Requirements:
- Prior experience working as a die cast operator or in a similar manufacturing role
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, and able to operate machinery with precision
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required
- High school diploma or equivalent education level preferred, but not mandatory
