Custodial Associates maintain cleanliness and order in a facility, performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal. They ensure sanitary conditions, handle minor repairs, and manage supply inventory.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure cleanliness and neatness of the assigned areas including restrooms, break rooms, and workstations
  • Empty trash and recycling bins on a regular basis
  • Clean floors, carpets, and windows using appropriate cleaning materials and equipment
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Assist with set up and clean up for events and meetings
  • Perform other custodial duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and efficiently
  • Attention to detail when cleaning and maintaining facilities
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks for extended periods of time
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Effective communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred, but not required
