Custodial Associates maintain cleanliness and order in a facility, performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal. They ensure sanitary conditions, handle minor repairs, and manage supply inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure cleanliness and neatness of the assigned areas including restrooms, break rooms, and workstations
- Empty trash and recycling bins on a regular basis
- Clean floors, carpets, and windows using appropriate cleaning materials and equipment
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Assist with set up and clean up for events and meetings
- Perform other custodial duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and efficiently
- Attention to detail when cleaning and maintaining facilities
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks for extended periods of time
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Effective communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred, but not required
