Responsibilities:

Research and identify potential exhibitions and events to feature in the museum or art gallery
Develop and maintain relationships with artists, collectors, and other art professionals
Select artwork and artifacts for exhibitions or collections based on the museum's mission and goals
Organize and oversee the installation of exhibits, including coordinating with designers and technicians
Write and edit exhibition materials, such as labels, catalogs, and brochures
Plan and coordinate educational programs and events related to exhibits and collections
Ensure the proper care and preservation of artwork and artifacts in the museum's collection
Manage budgets and oversee fundraising efforts to support exhibitions and collections

Requirements:

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Art History or related field
Proven experience working in a museum or gallery setting
In-depth knowledge of art history and trends in contemporary art
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with colleagues
Experience with exhibition planning and implementation
Flexibility and ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
