CRNAs, or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, administer anesthesia, monitor patient's vital signs, and oversee recovery from anesthesia. They play a critical role in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care of patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical or other medical procedures
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels accordingly

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
  • Current certification and recertification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Licensure as a registered nurse and advanced practice registered nurse in the state where the job is located
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and physiology related to anesthesia
  • Ability to administer various types of anesthesia and monitor patients during surgery
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with healthcare teams and patients
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with industry advancements and best practices.
