Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively counsel clients
  • Strong knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and best practices
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients and backgrounds
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to help clients manage and overcome their challenges
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage a caseload
  • Completion of a graduate-level counseling program and licensure/certification in the state of practice
  • Experience working in a counseling or mental health setting preferred
