Class 5 Delivery Drivers execute safe and timely transportation of goods, ensuring accurate delivery to specified locations. Responsibilities encompass loading/unloading cargo, route planning, and maintaining vehicle condition.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive different types of delivery trucks, including Class 5 vehicles
- Deliver goods to different locations on time and in good condition
- Ensure all necessary paperwork, including invoices and delivery logs, are completed accurately
- Load and unload goods from the delivery truck, using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
- Perform regular maintenance checks on the delivery truck and report any issues to the supervisor
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating the delivery truck
- Keep track of inventory levels and report any discrepancies to the supervisor
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to read and follow directions
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy packages
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with GPS and navigation systems
- Availability to work flexible hours and weekends
- Previous experience in delivery or driving preferred
