Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the carpentry project requirements
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, squares, or marking gauges
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand or power tools, such as saws, chisels, and planes
- Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, or hardware, such as locks, hinges, or handles
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
- Select and order lumber and other required materials
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, on construction projects
- Ensure the compliance with building codes and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or relevant apprenticeship
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Good physical condition and endurance
