A CNC Operator oversees the operation of computer numeric controlled machines, ensuring precision in production processes. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, setting up machines, and maintaining equipment for optimal functionality.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure adherence to specifications
  • Adjust machine controls and tool settings to ensure accuracy and efficiency of production
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality and identify any defects or issues
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and solve production issues
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
  • Keep accurate records of production data, including materials used, production time, and defects

Requirements:

  • Experience in operating CNC machines
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as G-code and M-code
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
  • Physical dexterity and ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Familiarity with maintenance procedures for CNC machines
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime if required
