- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations while handling and preparing meats
- Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries, suggesting products and taking special orders
- Stay up to date with industry trends, new cuts of meat and cooking techniques
- Assist in stocking inventory, pricing products and creating displays in the meat department
Requirements:
- Experience in butchery and meat cutting techniques
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods of time
- Familiarity with different cuts of meat and ability to work with various types of meat
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately weigh and measure meat portions
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Willingness to work early morning or late night shifts as required by the job
