Boiler Operators oversee, maintain, and repair boilers and large tanks that supply steam to heat buildings or power generators. Responsibilities include monitoring gauges, conducting inspections, and ensuring safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor boiler operations and keep records of fuel consumption and water levels
  • Operate and maintain a variety of mechanical equipment, such as pumps, compressors, and generators
  • Perform routine maintenance on boilers and related equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation
  • Respond to equipment malfunctions and take corrective actions to prevent damage to the equipment or interruption of service
  • Assist in the installation and repair of boiler systems and related equipment as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid boiler operator license/certification
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience operating and maintaining boilers
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose boiler malfunctions
  • Must be physically capable of working in confined spaces and lifting heavy objects
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members and management
  • Must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary
