A BIM Modeler creates and develops 3D models of buildings and structures using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. Responsibilities include generating digital representations of physical properties, ensuring accuracy, and collaborating with architects and engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Create 3D models of buildings, structures, and infrastructure using BIM software
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop design solutions
  • Ensure that BIM models are accurate and comply with project specifications
  • Create detailed drawings and construction documents based on BIM models
  • Review and analyze data from various sources to inform design decisions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest BIM software and technology trends
  • Train and mentor junior BIM modelers on best practices and techniques

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.
  • Ability to create, modify and review 3D models and associated 2D documentation
  • Knowledge of BIM standards and protocols such as COBie, IFC, etc.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and project managers
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in BIM models
  • Experience in clash detection and coordination using BIM tools
  • Ability to manage and organize multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge of construction industry practices and processes
