Being a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) requires expertise in analyzing behavior, creating intervention plans, and supervising professionals. Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans
- Provide ongoing supervision and training to behavior technicians
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of behavior interventions
- Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards in behavior analysis
- Stay up-to-date with current research and developments in the field of behavior analysis
- Provide consultations and presentations to promote behavior analytic services
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and community members.
Requirements:
- Must possess a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience working as a BCBA with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of current ABA techniques and ability to develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on functional assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with clients, families, and other professionals
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and behavior data
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenging behavior and adjust intervention plans as needed
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis
