Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain bandsaw machinery according to safety guidelines and company procedures

  • Measure and mark materials to be cut, ensuring accuracy and minimizing waste
  • Inspect materials for defects or imperfections before cutting, and adjust cutting parameters as needed
  • Monitor saw blade condition and replace or sharpen blades as necessary
  • Record material usage, production data, and machinery maintenance in logs or databases
  • Collaborate with other production workers and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders
  • Keep work area clean and organized, following 5S principles and contributing to a safe and productive environment

Requirements:

  • Experience operating bandsaws and other woodcutting machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols for operating machinery
  • Physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise cuts and movements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on machinery
  • Good communication skills for collaborating with other team members
  • Availability to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed
