As an application packager, you'll be responsible for creating software installation packages for various platforms. This includes testing, customizing, and deploying software to ensure it runs smoothly on different devices. You'll also need to troubleshoot issues and provide support to end-users.

Responsibilities:

  • Package applications for deployment using various tools and technologies
  • Test and troubleshoot packaging issues to ensure successful deployment on client systems
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of packaged applications
  • Maintain documentation of packaging procedures and configurations for future reference
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to application packaging and deployment
  • Participate in the development and implementation of automation tools and processes to streamline packaging and deployment workflows
  • Provide technical support to end-users and IT support staff for packaged applications
  • Manage and prioritize multiple packaging projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Experience in packaging applications for Windows operating system
  • Knowledge of packaging tools such as InstallShield, Wise Package Studio, and Admin Studio
  • Ability to troubleshoot common packaging issues and provide solutions
  • Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO)
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with developers, testers, and end-users
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V is a plus
