Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and statements
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing procedures
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax and income tax
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting and budgeting
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or Sage
  • Ability to prepare and file tax documents and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Certification in accounting (e.g. CPA, CMA) preferred
